Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a tart pan.
- Melt the butter and chocolate chips over simmering water until smooth, then cool.
- In a mixer, beat eggs, sugar, espresso powder, and vanilla until blended.
- Add the cooled chocolate mixture and mix well.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then add to the mixer and mix until just combined.
- Stir in half of the chopped pecans and pour the batter into the prepared pan, topping with the remaining pecans.
- Bake for 34-45 minutes until the top cracks and the center is set but soft.
- Prepare the frosting by beating egg yolks until thick, then add evaporated milk, sugar, and vanilla.
- Cook the mixture over medium heat until thickened, then stir in coconut and pecans.
- Cool the frosting and spread it over the brownie pie before serving.
