Instructions
- Prepare the spice mix by combining all dried spices in a bowl.
- Partially cook the ground beef and pork in a skillet, seasoning with half of the spice mix until mostly cooked.
- Transfer the meat to the slow cooker and mix with milk.
- Sauté the red wine in the same skillet to deglaze, then add onion and garlic, cooking until translucent.
- Add celery, carrots, and remaining spices to the skillet, sautéing for a few more minutes.
- Combine the sautéed vegetables with the meat in the slow cooker, adding all the tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cook on low for 6 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Let the sauce rest for 20 minutes before serving over pasta.
