Ingredients

The cake

  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

The Nutella

  • ¾ cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract, then set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together and set aside.
  4. In a stand mixer, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the egg mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Spread ⅓ of the batter in the prepared pan, then layer with 6 tablespoons of warmed Nutella.
  7. Repeat the layering with another ⅓ of the batter and the remaining Nutella, then top with the last of the batter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, covering with foil after 25 minutes to prevent over-browning.
  9. Cool the cake in the pan on a wire rack before slicing.
