Ingredients

The batter

  • 1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 medium or 2 large bananas)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup packed light or dark brown sugar
  • cups white whole wheat flour or all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

The mix-ins

  • ¾ cup chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (about 12 miniatures)
  • cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas, peanut butter, oil, egg, and both sugars until well combined.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped Reese’s cups and chocolate chips.
  6. Spread the batter into the prepared loaf pan and drop Nutella on top, swirling it with a knife.
  7. Bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a cooling rack. Allow it to cool for about 2 hours before slicing.
