Turkey Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Ingredients

The sandwich

  • 4 slices whole grain or sourdough bread
  • 4–8 ounces sliced turkey breast
  • 4 slices cheese (brie, white cheddar, gruyere, swiss or any other meltable favorite)
  • 4 tablespoons cranberry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Cranberry Mustard

  • ½ cup cranberry sauce
  • 3–4 tablespoons whole grain mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Mix the cranberry sauce and mustard together.
  3. Spread cranberry mustard on all slices of bread.
  4. Layer turkey and cheese on two slices of bread, then top with the other slices.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium-low heat and pan-sear the sandwiches until golden on both sides.
  6. Transfer the sandwiches to a sheet pan and finish in the oven until the cheese is melted.
  7. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve with a salad.
