Homemade Whole-Wheat Pizza Rolls

pizza sauce

freshly grated mozzarella cheese

freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by sprinkling it into warm water with honey and let it foam.
- Mix flour and salt in a food processor, then add the yeast mixture and form a dough.
- Let the dough rise in a greased bowl or bag for 1 to 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Sauté shallots, peppers, and mushrooms in olive oil until softened, then add and cook the sausage until browned.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and spread pizza sauce over it.
- Sprinkle both cheeses and cooked toppings over the sauce.
- Roll the dough tightly and slice into 1-inch pieces.
- Place rolls on a baking sheet and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake until golden brown for 10 to 15 minutes and serve with warm pizza sauce.
