Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to the Sauté setting and cook the sausage and onion until the meat is cooked through.
- Add Italian seasoning, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, bell pepper, and mushrooms, if using, and stir.
- Add the broth or water and stir, scraping the bottom of the pot to deglaze.
- Layer the pasta evenly over the mixture without stirring.
- Pour the marinara sauce over the pasta, covering it completely without stirring.
- Cancel the Sauté function, seal the lid, and set the pressure cook time to 4 minutes.
- After cooking, do a Quick Release of the pressure.
- Once the lid is open, stir in half of the cheese and ¾ of the pepperoni.
- Add any optional ingredients like olives, if desired.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese and arrange the remaining pepperoni on top, then close the lid to melt the cheese.
- Serve directly from the pot or transfer to a serving dish.
