Instructions
- Combine mayonnaise and chipotle, then set aside.
- Dry the beans thoroughly after rinsing to prevent sticking.
- Mash the beans in a bowl until thick and pasty.
- In a food processor, finely chop the bell pepper, cilantro, scallions, and garlic.
- Add oats, egg, and spices to the food processor and blend.
- Stir the mixture into the mashed beans.
- Divide the mixture into four patties and place them on wax paper.
- If the mixture is too wet, chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or add more oats.
- Freeze the patties for at least 2 hours before cooking.
- Cook the frozen burgers in a skillet for about 7 minutes on each side, or grill for 7-8 minutes per side.
