Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
- Add orange juice and optional maple syrup, cooking for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
- Stir in olives and water, cooking until olives begin to soften.
- Add green beans, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, and additional water. Cover and reduce heat to medium, cooking until green beans are tender.
- Toast pine nuts in an oven until golden brown, being careful not to burn them.
- Serve green beans garnished with thyme, orange slices, and toasted pine nuts.
