Ingredients

The fudge

  • cups raw smooth almond butter
  • ¼ cup virgin coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼-½ teaspoon pink Himalayan sea salt

The chocolate topping

  • 3 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
  • tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch pink Himalayan sea salt
  • to taste Maldon sea salt or other flaked sea salt

Instructions

  1. Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine almond butter.
  3. In a small pot, melt coconut oil, maple syrup, and salt over low heat.
  4. Pour the melted mixture into the almond butter and stir until smooth.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Freeze for about 1 hour until solid.
  7. For the topping, melt coconut oil in a pot, then whisk in maple syrup, cocoa powder, and salt until smooth.
  8. Slice the fudge into squares and place on parchment paper.
  9. Spoon chocolate sauce over each square and freeze until solid.
  10. Sprinkle with flaked sea salt if desired and enjoy.
