Ingredients

  • 1 cup dates, pitted
  • ¼ cup warm water
  • cup unsalted cashew butter
  • ½ cup cacao or unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp melted coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Blend pitted dates in a food processor until they form small bits or a ball.
  2. Add warm water and blend until a loose paste forms.
  3. Incorporate cashew butter, cacao powder, vanilla, and optional salt, blending until well combined.
  4. Add melted coconut oil and mix until smooth and spreadable.
  5. Use immediately or refrigerate for at least 1 hour for a firmer texture.
  6. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or in the freezer for up to 1 month.
