Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 5 tablespoons butter (cold, cut into tablespoon size chunks)
  • cups cheddar cheese (grated)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until it forms a ball.
  3. Roll the dough into a log about 1½ inches in diameter and optionally refrigerate.
  4. Slice ¼ inch thick pieces from the log and place them flat on an ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Optional: Use a fork to gently flatten the tops of each cracker.
  6. Bake for 8 to 14 minutes until golden brown.
