Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, maple syrup, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin cups and top with additional chocolate chips if desired.
- Bake for 8 minutes at 425°F, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for another 9-10 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the muffins cool in the tin for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
