Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter and set aside, then chop the apple into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, flaxseed, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
- Add maple syrup, applesauce, eggs, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix well, then fold in the diced apple.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together coconut sugar, almond flour, walnuts, cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter for the topping, then sprinkle it over the batter.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then cool before slicing into 9 pieces.
