Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x9" baking dish.
- Chop the apples and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, tapioca flour, cinnamon, cardamom, salt, and baking powder.
- Mix in the remaining cake ingredients (except the apples) until combined.
- Fold in the sliced apples and pour the mixture into the greased dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Combine the topping ingredients in a bowl and sprinkle them over the cake mixture.
- Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely before slicing and serving. Drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
