Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and spray the donut pan with non-stick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, poppy seeds, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients: melted butter, egg, sugar, milk, sour cream, vanilla, lemon juice, and lemon zest until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined without overmixing.
- Spoon the batter into the donut cavities, filling them 2/3 to 3/4 full using a zipped-top bag for ease.
- Bake for 9-10 minutes until the edges are lightly browned, then cool on a wire rack.
- While the donuts cool, whisk together the glaze ingredients.
- Dip the warm donuts into the glaze and place them back on the wire rack to set.
