Asian Inspired Tangerine Pork Chops

The sauce

sliced shitake mushrooms (optional)

Instructions
- Mix tangerine juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, five spice powder, and sea salt to create a marinade.
- Divide the marinade into two portions.
- Add half of the minced ginger, garlic, and egg to one portion of the marinade for the pork.
- Place the pork chops in a zip lock bag and pour the marinade over them. Marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Before frying, add corn starch to the pork and mix it well.
- Heat oil in a large skillet and cook the pork chops over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until cooked through.
- In a separate pan, heat sesame oil and sauté the remaining ginger, garlic, and shitake mushrooms for 2 minutes.
- Mix corn starch into the remaining marinade and add it to the sauté pan, allowing it to thicken.
- Serve the pork chops garnished with scallions and tangerine wedges, alongside jasmine rice and steamed broccoli.
