Instructions
- 1. Whisk together flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl.
- 2. Heat milk and butter until warm, then whisk in yeast until dissolved.
- 3. Combine the milk mixture with dry ingredients, add the egg, and mix until a soft dough forms.
- 4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 3-5 minutes until smooth, then let it rest for 10 minutes.
- 5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
- 6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 10-12 rolls, placing them in a greased pan.
- 7. Cover and let the rolls rise in a warm place for 60-90 minutes until doubled in size.
- 8. Preheat the oven and bake the rolls until lightly browned.
- 9. While baking, prepare the icing by mixing cream cheese, butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- 10. Spread icing over warm rolls and serve.
