Cheesy Green Curry Palmiers

Ingredients

The filling

  • 3 oz. sharp cheddar, preferably white, coarsely grated
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. green curry paste

The pastry

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (one 14-oz. package or half of a 17.3-oz. package), thawed
  • as needed amount All-purpose flour (for surface)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Mix the cheddar, mayonnaise, and green curry paste in a bowl until combined.
  3. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface and spread the cheese mixture evenly over it.
  4. Fold the long sides of the pastry towards the center and press down gently.
  5. Fold the sides again to form a log and squeeze to adhere.
  6. Chill the log if it feels too soft for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Trim the ends of the log and slice it crosswise into 15-16 pieces.
  8. Lay the pieces flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 12-15 minutes until golden.
  10. Let cool slightly before transferring to a platter to serve.
