Ingredients

The cookie dough

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened (2 sticks)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 egg yolk egg yolk
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey

The mix-ins

  • 4-6 ounces milk chocolate, chopped into chunks
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces (or more)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large mixer bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Add the whole egg and egg yolk, and beat well.
  5. Mix in the peanut butter and honey.
  6. Gradually beat in the flour mixture, then stir in the chocolate chunks and Reese's Pieces.
  7. Roll the dough into scant tablespoon-sized balls, stack two balls together, and place them on the baking sheet two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, then allow to cool for three minutes before serving or transferring to a cooling rack.
