Ingredients

The dough

  • 2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups chopped peanut butter cups
  • ¾ cup peanut butter chips
  • ¾ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For garnish

  • to taste sea salt
  • additional chopped peanut butter cups, peanut butter chips, and chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a mixer, cream the butter and sugars until smooth, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the peanut butter cups, peanut butter chips, and chocolate chips.
  6. Form the dough into balls and place them on the baking sheet, spaced apart.
  7. Sprinkle the tops with sea salt before baking.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
