Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup grated English cucumber
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Grate the cucumber and press out excess liquid.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated cucumber, yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix gently to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve, or up to three days ahead.
