Eggnog French Toast

The bread and toppings

challah bread, cut into 1-inch slices

Instructions
- Whisk together the eggs, eggnog, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl or shallow dish.
- Melt a tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Dip slices of challah bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and transfer to the skillet.
- Cook the bread for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side until golden brown, adding more butter as needed.
- Place the cooked French toast in a warm oven while cooking the remaining slices.
- Serve with whipped cream and maple syrup.
