Ingredients

The base

  • 1 whole ripe avocado
  • 2 slices whole grain bread

The seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic

Optional toppings

Instructions

  1. Pick a ripe avocado that yields to touch.
  2. Gather whole grain bread, avocado, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Slice the avocado in half and remove the pit.
  4. Scoop out the avocado flesh into a bowl.
  5. Add lemon juice to prevent browning.
  6. Optionally add minced garlic.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper.
  8. Mash the avocado mixture to your desired texture.
  9. Toast the bread until crispy and golden brown.
  10. Spread the mashed avocado mixture over the toast.
  11. Add your favorite toppings.
