Ingredients

The toast

  • 4 slices whole grain bread

The avocado spread

  • 1 large ripe avocado
  • 1 clove garlic (minced, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • to taste none sea salt (optional)
  • to taste none freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread until light golden and crunchy.
  2. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit.
  3. Scoop the avocado into a bowl and mash it with a fork.
  4. Mix in garlic (if using), lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
