Caprese Salad

The salad

The dressing

extra virgin olive oil

balsamic vinegar

sea salt

black pepper
Instructions
- Combine salt and black pepper in a small bowl and set aside.
- Rinse the tomatoes in cold water and pat dry.
- Slice the tomatoes into ¼ inch – ½ inch slices and season with salt and pepper.
- Slice the mozzarella into ¼ inch – ½ inch slices and season with salt and pepper.
- Layer the salad starting with a slice of tomato, then a basil leaf, and a slice of mozzarella.
- Repeat layering until all ingredients are used.
- Drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad.
- Garnish with chopped Italian parsley.
