The salad

  • 3 to 4 medium tomatoes
  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves

The dressing

  • to taste olive oil
  • to taste balsamic vinegar
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Arrange alternating layers of tomato and mozzarella slices on a large shallow platter, adding a basil leaf to each one.
