Fried Meatballs

Ingredients

The meatball mixture

  • 8 oz ground pork
  • 1 unit egg
  • ¼ small onion, diced
  • 2 oz fish paste
  • ¼ teaspoon five-spice powder
  • ½ tablespoon fish sauce
  • 3 dashes white pepper
  • 1 pinch salt

For frying

  • as needed unit oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Mix all the ingredients (except the oil) in a bowl until well blended and sticky.
  2. 2. Heat a wok with enough oil for shallow frying.
  3. 3. Wet your hands and scoop a teaspoon of the mixture to shape into small balls.
  4. 4. Drop the meatballs into the hot oil to fry.
  5. 5. Turn the meatballs using a spatula and fry until cooked through.
  6. 6. Serve hot.
