Instructions
- Combine the ground pork or chicken with ginger, garlic, five-spice powder (if using), sesame oil, pepper, and salt, and mix well.
- Wet your hands and shape the mixture into 24 meatballs.
- Heat oil in a wok or skillet and pan-fry the meatballs until they are light golden brown, then drain on paper towels.
- Clean the wok or skillet, heat oil, and add the onion, stirring briefly.
- Pour in the sweet and sour sauce and cook until it thickens, then add the meatballs and stir to coat them with the sauce.
- Serve immediately.
