Ingredients

Chili Lime Blackening Seasoning

  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt
  • ½ tsp Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp Oregano
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Lime Zest

Salmon

  • 4 pieces Salmon Filets (about 4 ounces each, skin removed)
  • 2 tbsp Avocado Oil

Instructions

  1. Mix together the Chili Lime Seasoning ingredients and set aside.
  2. Divide the salmon into 4 portions and ensure the skin is removed.
  3. Cover all sides of the salmon with the seasoning rub.
  4. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add avocado oil.
  5. Once the oil is shimmering, add the salmon filets and cook for 3 minutes per side, ensuring they are browned.
  6. Once cooked through, move the salmon to a plate and cover with pico de gallo before serving.
