Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Trim off the woody ends of the asparagus.
- Rinse the trimmed asparagus under cold water and dry thoroughly.
- Place the asparagus on a rimmed baking sheet and season with olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Arrange the asparagus in a flat, even layer.
- Roast in the oven for 7 to 15 minutes, until tender, depending on the thickness of the spears.
- Transfer to a serving platter and top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes.
- Serve with fresh lemon slices if desired.
