Black Sesame Chahan

Ingredients

The rice

  • 2 cups cooked rice

The mix-ins

  • 1 tbsp Japanese mayonnaise
  • 2 pieces eggs
  • ½ tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 slices rindless bacon
  • 3 tbsp grinded black sesame
  • ½ tbsp soy sauce
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 3 tbsp finely chopped green shallots

Instructions

  1. Mix mayonnaise into the cooked rice and set aside.
  2. Grind the black sesame seeds and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and scramble the eggs, then set aside.
  4. In the same frying pan, add sesame oil and cook the bacon until fragrant.
  5. Add the rice and scrambled eggs to the pan and mix well.
  6. Stir in the ground black sesame seeds and chopped green shallots.
  7. Pour soy sauce over the mixture and stir continuously.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve in bowls and garnish with additional shallots.
