Ingredients

The popcorn shrimp

  • 1 18-ounce box frozen popcorn shrimp

The tartar sauce (optional)

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup diced dill pickles
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon capers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with neutral spray oil.
  3. Add the frozen popcorn shrimp to the air fryer in a single layer.
  4. Cook for 3 minutes, then shake the basket to toss and flip the shrimp.
  5. Cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  6. Optionally, while the shrimp is cooking, prepare the tartar sauce by mixing mayonnaise, pickles, lemon juice, capers, dill, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  7. Check the shrimp for doneness; if desired, cook for 1 to 2 minutes more for extra crispiness.
  8. Carefully transfer the shrimp to a serving bowl or plate and serve immediately with tartar sauce or other dipping sauce.
