Ingredients

The green beans

  • 1 lb. green beans

The flavorings

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • to taste salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. Add olive oil and green beans to the pan.
  3. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until green beans have blistered or browned on the sides.
  4. Add in garlic, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, and salt.
  5. Stir and sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat, add lemon juice to pan, and stir to combine.
  7. Serve.
