Ingredients

The vegetables

  • 1 pound green beans

The cooking fats

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons oil of choice

The flavorings

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ of one lemon zested
  • to taste pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and oil in a large skillet.
  2. Add green beans and sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Cover the skillet and cook for approximately 3 minutes.
  4. Remove the lid and continue to sauté until the green beans are browned and tender, for 1 to 5 minutes more.
  5. Add garlic, salt, and pepper, and cook for another 30-60 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Remove from heat and add lemon zest, then serve warm.
