Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl and set aside.
- Cream the softened butter until pale and fluffy using a mixer.
- Add the granulated and brown sugars, mixing until smooth, then add the egg and vanilla, blending well.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just blended, then stir in the oats and raisins.
- Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown, then transfer to wire racks to cool.
