Ingredients

  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • cup bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp table salt
  • cup canola oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • to taste Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped
  • cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake or pie pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, then add chocolate chunks.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix oil, eggs, and vanilla until blended.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix until just blended, then stir in the chopped peanut butter cups.
  5. Spread the mixture into the prepared pan and swirl in peanut butter.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few gooey pieces.
  7. Let cool, then cut into wedges and optionally top with a mini peanut butter cup.
