Instructions
- Prepare the brownie layer according to the directions if using a boxed mix, baking for 5 minutes less than stated.
- If making from scratch, preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare an 11×7-inch baking pan.
- Melt butter and chocolate in a saucepan, then stir in sugar and add eggs one at a time, whisking until smooth.
- Whisk in vanilla, then gently fold in flour and salt before pouring the batter into the prepared pan and baking for 30 minutes.
- Sprinkle peanuts and chopped Reese’s cups on top of the brownies and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- While the brownies bake, melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter in a saucepan and stir in Rice Krispies.
- Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the brownies, spread evenly, and refrigerate for 2 hours before cutting into squares.
