Ingredients

The smoothie

  • 1 apple red variety
  • 1 cup dairy free milk
  • ¼ cup extra milk
  • ¼ - ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup oats
  • ½ cup raw cashews
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups ice

Optional toppings

  • to taste homemade vegan whipped cream
  • to taste ice cream
  • to taste caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. For the raw version, blend all ingredients except the ice until creamy.
  2. Add the ice and blend until smooth.
  3. For the cooked version, sauté the apples with extra milk until softened.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool, then blend with the other ingredients until creamy.
  5. Add the ice and blend until smooth.
  6. Serve with your choice of toppings.
