Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and slice the apples thinly, about ⅛ inch thick.
- Whisk together the maple syrup, cashew butter, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and sea salt in a bowl until smooth.
- Mix the sliced apples into the filling mixture to coat them.
- Transfer the raw pie crust into a pie dish.
- Pour the apple filling into the raw pie crust.
- If using a top crust, create a lattice by cutting strips of dough and weaving them over the filling.
- Optionally, brush the top with a mixture of water and maple syrup.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
