Ingredients

The salmon

  • 4 pieces center-cut salmon fillets
  • to taste Diamond Crystal kosher salt
  • to taste black pepper

The sauce

  • ½ cup coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
  • to taste avocado oil cooking spray
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a saucepan, combine coconut aminos, honey, sriracha, and minced garlic, and heat until simmering.
  3. Whisk arrowroot powder with a small amount of water to create a slurry, then add to the sauce and cook until thickened.
  4. Brush some sauce on the salmon fillets, avoiding the skin.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and spray the basket with avocado oil.
  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the basket.
  7. Air fry for 5 to 10 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 125°F.
  8. Taste for seasoning and add more sauce if desired, garnishing with sesame seeds.
