Ingredients

  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 envelope active dry yeast
  • 1 cup All-Purpose flour
  • 1 cup Whole Wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 3 T. Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Mix warm water with yeast and let it stand until dissolved.
  2. Brush a large bowl with olive oil.
  3. In a mixer, combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, sugar, and salt.
  4. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a sticky ball forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and not sticky.
  6. Place the dough in the oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  7. Punch down the dough and roll it out to the desired size.
