Taco Bell Mexican Pizza

Ingredients

The pizza base

  • 8 pieces flour tortillas (6”)
  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ packet taco seasoning
  • cup water
  • 1 16-ounce can refried beans

The toppings

  • 1 cup red enchilada sauce
  • cup red salsa
  • 1 8-ounce bag shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 medium tomato (diced)

For preparation

  • as needed spray spray oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350º F and spray the tortillas with oil on both sides, then sprinkle with salt.
  2. Prick the tortillas with a fork and place them on a baking sheet, baking for 10 minutes before flipping and baking until golden brown.
  3. Increase the oven temperature to 400º F and mix the enchilada sauce and salsa in a bowl.
  4. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, add taco seasoning and water, and simmer until thickened.
  5. Heat the refried beans in a microwave-safe bowl for easier spreading.
  6. Layer the ingredients by spreading refried beans on each tortilla, topping with seasoned beef, and adding another tortilla on top.
  7. Spread enchilada sauce on top of the second tortilla and sprinkle with cheese, then repeat for the remaining tortillas.
  8. Place the assembled pizzas on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  9. Serve with your favorite toppings.
