Ingredients

The filling

  • 4-5 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced ⅛-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon arrowroot powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

The crust

  • 1 Pecan Tart Crust

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large bowl, combine apple slices, lemon juice, arrowroot powder, honey, and cinnamon.
  2. 2. Arrange the apple mixture on top of the uncooked crust, forming a circular pattern.
  3. 3. Layer additional apples over the circle and in the center.
  4. 4. Cover the tart with tin foil and bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes, until juices are bubbling.
  5. 5. Remove the foil and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  6. 6. Serve the tart warm.
