Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine water, raw sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, vanilla bean, and arrowroot; whisk together.
- Add strawberries and bring to a simmer; cook for 5 minutes until softened and the sauce thickens.
- In a large bowl, mix white whole wheat flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine eggs, milk, coconut oil, and brown sugar.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
- Pour batter into a preheated waffle maker and cook until crisp and browned.
