Ingredients

  • 3-4 pieces bacon
  • 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, fresh chopped
  • 2 pieces green onions, chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • a dash freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  2. In a small bowl, mix half of the cooked bacon with pecans, parsley, and green onions.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, onion powder, garlic powder, remaining bacon, oregano, black pepper, hot pepper sauce, remaining green onion, and Worcestershire sauce until fluffy.
  4. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. Shape the mixture into a ball and roll it in the bacon-pecan mixture before serving.
