Ingredients

Optional White Wine Cream Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally to create cutlets and pound them to an even thickness.
  2. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese onto each chicken breast and fold them in half, securing with toothpicks.
  3. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
  4. Dip the chicken in flour, then egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. For air frying, place the chicken in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes at 380°F, flip, and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until cooked through.
  6. For baking, preheat the oven to 400°F, place the chicken on a lined sheet pan, and bake for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
  7. For the optional cream sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, add cream, wine, broth, and seasonings, stirring until thickened.
