Instructions
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally to create cutlets and pound them to an even thickness.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese onto each chicken breast and fold them in half, securing with toothpicks.
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Italian seasoning.
- Dip the chicken in flour, then egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
- For air frying, place the chicken in the air fryer and cook for 10 minutes at 380°F, flip, and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until cooked through.
- For baking, preheat the oven to 400°F, place the chicken on a lined sheet pan, and bake for 20-30 minutes until cooked through.
- For the optional cream sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, add cream, wine, broth, and seasonings, stirring until thickened.
