Grilled Pork Chop Marinade

The Marinade

Instructions
- If using honey, mince or press the garlic and combine all marinade ingredients in a small bowl, whisking to combine.
- If using soaked dates, roughly chop the garlic and blend all marinade ingredients in a food processor until smooth.
- Place pork chops in a large container or zip-top bag, reserving some marinade for brushing later.
- Pour the marinade over the chops, ensuring they are well coated, then refrigerate for 4-12 hours.
- Remove the chops from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 20 minutes while preheating the grill to 425-450°F.
- Remove the chops from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and discard the marinade.
- Grill the chops for 8-10 minutes, brushing with reserved marinade, then flip and grill for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Let the chops rest for 3 minutes before serving.
