Instructions
- Combine the hot honey sauce ingredients and stir until well mixed.
- Pat the chicken dry and rub the spice mixture over it, ensuring both sides are coated.
- For air frying, cook the chicken at 360°F for 10 minutes, then drizzle half of the hot honey sauce and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes until the chicken reaches 165°F.
- For stovetop cooking, sear the chicken in a skillet with butter for 3-4 minutes on each side, then transfer to the oven to bake for 5-10 minutes, drizzling half of the hot honey sauce halfway through.
- Allow the chicken to rest for 5-10 minutes, then assemble the sandwich with the chicken, toppings, and remaining hot honey sauce on the toasted buns.
