Key Lime Pie

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Melt the butter and mix it with the graham cracker or ginger snap crumbs until moistened.
- Press the crumb mixture into a pie plate to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 12 minutes until the edges start to brown, then let it cool and reduce the oven temperature to 325°F.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks until fluffy, then add the sweetened condensed milk and half of the lime juice, mixing for 30 seconds.
- Add the remaining lime juice and mix for another minute, then stir in the lime zest.
- Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake at 325°F for 15-17 minutes until set.
- Chill in the refrigerator before serving, optionally with whipped cream.
